A retreat that blends history and nature, where contemporary design meets the beauty of the past

Located in the heart of Tuscany, Borgo Dolciano is a fascinating place with roots going back to the 19thC. Created as a hunting lodge for Leopold II, Grand Duke of Tuscany, this complex also includes the homes of the estate workers. Now, skilful renovation has transformed Borgo Dolciano into a set of apartments, each with its own distinctive characteristics, where guests can enjoy unforgettable experiences with a mix of relaxation, nature and culture.

The Dolciano hill, dominated by an elegant C18th villa, is surrounded by a delightful garden and well-established grounds, also containing a splendid swimming-pool in a green setting. The apartments are ideal for anyone seeking an authentic holiday immersed in Tuscan traditions and history, with the added value of modern comfort.

The renovation project, managed by Italforte, carefully conserved every detail of Borgo Dolciano, maintaining the complex’s historic spirit intact. In particular, the bathrooms of the Arunte and Canopo suites gained immaculate beauty from the Ragno collections, chosen for their contemporary aesthetic and high quality of materials.

The choice for the wall and floor coverings of the Arunte apartment’s bathrooms was the stone-effect stoneware of the Realstone_Navigli collection, in Grigio shade and 60×60 and 75×75 cm sizes. This collection is inspired by combined fragments of Ceppo di Gré stone and cement and provides surfaces with a wealth of graphic and chromatic details that emphasise the material’s natural elegance. The walls were covered with the Tempera collection, in the Shangai Crema 30×90 cm three-dimensional structure, characterised by elegant horizontal lines that create a grosgrain effect, ideal for sophisticated interior design schemes.

The bathroom of the Canopo apartment, on the other hand, features the exquisite Egg three-dimensional structure from the Gleeze collection, in Turchese color. This collection’s super-glossy surfaces and concave and convex shapes bring walls to life with interplays of light and depths that give the room a unique personality.

Thanks to the Ragno collections’ quality and design, the interiors of Borgo Dolciano combine contemporary elegance with historic glamour, enabling guests to immerse themselves in a timeless context.
