After a quick look back at Cersaie 2017, which now seems a long time ago, the focus is already on the upcoming Salone del Bagno 2018: professionals and enthusiasts will be eager to pick up the trends and styles destined to influence interior design in the months after the events. A look at the latest porcelain stoneware collections presented by Ragno easily identifies all the main trends affecting the most intimate room in the home.
Majolica and cement tiles: traditional decors for a bathroom with a vintage flavour
Like other interiors (both residential and commercial), the bathroom is experiencing a comeback of furnishings and fittings of vintage inspiration (recycled console tables, old-fashioned mirrors and traditional sanitary fixtures). The architectural renovation of period buildings has given birth to a love of the finishing materials of our past, and driven a revaluation of the old traditional majolica and cement tiles. The Ottocento and A_Mano collections, both in the traditional 20×20 size, exemplify this love of vintage style.
Ottocento features a contemporary approach to the decorative motifs of cement tiles, available in 8 different warm, substantial colour shades, for mixing to taste with 2 “carpet” pattern ensembles in cool and warm colour versions. Suitable for bathrooms in retro or industrial style.
A_Mano is inspired by the delicate elegance of majolica tiles. There are no fewer than 12 decors, in 3 colour variants dominated by white, cream and grey. Perfect for sophisticated bathrooms furnished in an updated classical style.

A room that conveys harmony and aids relaxation: a bathroom that recreates the atmosphere of a spa in the home, with the aid of delicate colours and subtle volumes. Contrasting with the previous collections’ alternation of geometric or floral patterns and decors, this trend offers us tactile, natural materials inspired by stone.
Such as those in the Ritual collection, with a stone effect that recreates the effects of hand chiselling and the loveliness of time-worn walls. Pale colours and just one large size for a luminous, relaxing interior.
Light underlines volumes: 3D effect tiles for a modern bathroom
Flat, two-dimensional tiles are replaced by surfaces just waiting to be touched, with three-dimensional effects brought to life by the passage of light, and complex decors that give variety to walls, making them the room’s main ornamental feature.
The Tactile collection offers a large range of three-dimensional effects, emphasised by the large 40 x 120 cm size: from fabric weaves to lacy ornamentation, from traditional mosaic to wallpaper effect, and from the iridescent hues of metals to an alternation of geometric patterns.
