Which modern interior design material combines deliberate imperfection, a tactile texture with a light and delicate appearance, and a palette for lovers of both pastel shades and plain, earthy colours?

The answer is as simple as the name of the new collection of white body ceramics that Ragno dedicates to the material of inspiration: Resina. These tiles, laid using a blend of concrete, pigments and other additives, create perfectly seamless ceramics surfaces, ideal for ensuring the aesthetic continuity of spaces that have been recovered and converted for new purposes. A virtuous and ethically and environmentally sustainable procedure.

This reinterpretation of resin in ceramic form translates into large yet thin slabs: 40x120 cm and just 6 mm thick. The colour palette of the tiles combines three warm shades with three cool shades: Avorio, Rosa and terracotta on one hand, Bianco, Grigio and Ardesia on the other, in ascending order of saturation.

Each tile also has rectified edges to guarantee, during the installation procedure, the same seamless continuity visible on surfaces treated with the original material.

Beginning with the base element, the collection also includes a series of surface texture variations that play around with light and shade and give walls depth, texture and thickness, both visual and tactile. The Bee and Wall structures, which can be laid both horizontally or vertically, create, respectively, a honeycomb pattern formed of hexagons on adjoining tiles and a weave that recalls and offers a modern twist on old walls made of stone or small bricks.

There are also decors and mosaics which have two distinct sources of inspiration: one more rigorous connected with geometry and colour contrasts, and the other softer and more evocative, based on botanical and textile motifs. The Venezia and Tropicana decors fall into this second category and are produced using the third firing technique while the digitally-produced Bricks plays around with clean lines and forms. The two mosaics, Classico and Forme, follow suit and come in all six of the base tile colour options.
