Salento: light, sky and sea come together, creating a natural environment that expresses the tradition of Mediterranean living in a way that is always unique and surprising.
We stop before the threshold of a house. The wooden door opens, moved by the breeze, and the sun bursts in, flooding the walls and floors and fragmenting perception almost to the point of fading.

Further inside, a little sheltered from the sun, a pattern composed of geometric shapes and material reveals its colours: the dense and evocative Cobalto, Ocra, Cadmio and Pomice. Together with Ambra, Basalto, Terra and Talco, it builds, tile by tile, the striking and deeply imaginative abacus of the Ottocento collection, part of the Storie series, to which it provides a modern interpretation of tradition.

The tile carpets in the Ottocento collection, which can be used on both the wall and floor, combine, in a matrix that can be read on multiple levels, pure geometric elements with purely decorative details, ingredients of a setting fully immersed in the Italian landscape, generating an immersive experience that harmonizes and balances its components.

Each element, incorporated in a 20x20 cm tile, reveals exquisite details up close: deliberately imperfect edges, intense slightly mottled colours, a natural matt surface that is pleasing to both the eye and touch.
