Right in the heart of Milan, a three-room apartment has been transformed into two comfortable, modern holiday lets. The project, by the Aedelis architecture firm, divided the large apartment into one two-room and one studio flat, optimising the space to provide guests with comfortable, convenient accommodation.
The Eterna stone-effect stoneware collection, in Mix Multicolor version, was used for all the floors and to cover some of the walls. This was not a random decision: the Eterna collection is outstanding in its sophisticated design with subtle patterning inspired by seashells which adds interest to the otherwise uniform Blanco, Arena and Greige colors. The darker marble inserts in the Mix variant add depth and character to the surface, creating a attractive interiors with a strong personality.
The Eterna collection was also chosen for its innovative technologies, including CleanOut Antibacterial Protection, which provides antimicrobial protection integrated in surfaces to keep interiors hygienic at all times, and StepWise, a technology that combines a soft ‘feel’ with high-performance slip resistance.
In the bathroom, special care was taken over the shower corner, finished with Stratford wall tiles in Blue color. This material forms a perfect combination with the rest of the design scheme and adds a touch of color and style. The Stratford in Blue shade chosen for the shower corner not only contrasts delightfully with the shades of the Eterna collection but also creates a focal point that enhances the aesthetic appeal of the bathroom as a whole.
The end result of the project by Aedelis is a holiday let that combines classical elegance with contemporary design. With a welcoming, relaxing mood and large, light-filled rooms, accommodation is equally ideal for both short breaks and longer stays. Subdividing the three-room apartment into one two-room and one studio flat means that the right accommodation can be provided for different types of guests, from couples to families, to meet a wide range of needs.
This renovation project in Milan is a perfect example of how the right choice of materials and careful planning can transform an existing residential unit into high-quality holiday accommodation. The Eterna stoneware collection and its aesthetic and functional characteristics played a fundamental role in giving the interiors a unique, distinctive personality. Thanks to Aedelis’s renovation project, the new holiday accommodation is not just comfortable and convenient but also offers refined, up-to-date accommodation in the heart of Milan.
